Fish Tail Manicure with Pictorial

Hi Loves!

I am absolutely loving Fish Tail manicures lately and i thought i would try it myself.

It was slightly time consuming, with this design taking me a little over 40 mins, but i think the final result is so worth it!!

I used OPI Designer De Better, Essie Play Date & Orly Fancy Fuchsia. But you can use any 3 colours you like!

The most challenging thing about this manicure is keeping a steady hand and making sure your lines are straight.

Fish tail nail Pictorial:

This nail art is meant to look like a fish tail braid design. Just like the polishes are intertwining.
You just keep criss crossing your colours from left to right.
Pick any 3 colours of your choice, I chose OPI Designer De Better (silver), Essie Play Date (purple) and Orly Fancy Fuchsia (pink).
1. Use a base coat of tour choice (I like Butter London nail foundation)
2.Paint entire nails with silver
3. Paint a stripe starting at top left corner with pink
4. Paint a stripe with purple from top right, so you have an X shape 5. Take silver and paint a line under pink starting at top left
6. Take pink and paint a stripe under purple, starting at top right
7. Paint purple stripe under silver from left
8. Paint silver stripe under pink from right
9. Paint pink stripe under purple on left hand side
10. Paint purple stripe under silver on right hand side
11. Paint silver stripe on very bottom left side of nails
12. Paint pink stripe on very bottom right hand side of nails.
Apply top coat & cuticle oil.

Have fun creating your fish tails!! <3

Lime Crime Lipsticks in D'lilac, Countessa Flourescent and Cosmopop

Review and Swatches

The most beautiful lipstick packaging I have ever seen!! Super gorgeous! A bright fuchsia tube with holographic unicorns and sparkles!! This tube definitely attracts attention. It is bound to start up a conversation when you take it out of your handbag and apply it in public!!

I currently have the shades Cosmopop, Countessa Flourescent and D'lilac

The good:

Lime Crime lipsticks are the most opaque lipstick formula I have ever tried, I have quite pigmented lips naturally and my lips are completely blanked out with this super rich pigmented formula. You will get amazing solid colour payoff with one coat. They are extremely long wearing and have a slight vanilla scent. The colour range of Lime Crime lipsticks is spectacular!!

The not so good:

I would recommend applying these lippies with a lip brush as I found any mistakes are very noticeable, they are so richly pigmented, it is better to have more precise control with a fine brush. The formula tends to be slightly on the drier side, so I would recommend having moisturised and exfoliated lips, so the lipstick doesn't cling to any dry patches and emphasise any lip imperfections.

Swatches, no flash, from left to right: D'lilac, Countessa Flourescent and Cosmopop

Swatches with flash.

Final thoughts: I absolutely love my Lime Crime lipsticks! The colour range is fantastic and so unique! The formula is super long wearing and opaque. I will happily repurchase in future and that leads me to wonder...... what will my next colour be.....

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
